Spider bites
Spiders are not very dangerous, but a few of them are indeed. Just to name a few of them, the Black Recluse Spider and the Brown Recluse Spider which can be found in United States of America or more importantly in the states those are towards the South. These spiders prefer places which are dry and have a lot of flies. These spiders are mostly found in the dry areas or the places where they cannot be disturbed. Such places include the closets or the store rooms or the piles of wood and even the areas under the sink.
Black Widow Spider:
The female Black Widow Spider’s bite is really harmful. Though it is not very dangerous every time. One can easily see a red hourglass mark on the belly of this spider. The bite of a Black Widow is more like a prick of a pin. Many a times the person who is bitten doesn’t even realize the pain. To begin with, there is a little bump and a few red marks in the area. But as time passes by, the pain increases and body becomes stiffer. Other abnormalities that indicate the bite of a Female Black widows Spider are high temperature, vomiting, chilling and a killing pain in various body parts like the abdomen.
Brown Recluse Spider:
Any spider that you see having a mark shaped like a violin on its top is nothing but a Brown Recluse Spider. The bites of this breed might produce a little stinging with the region becoming red with time. Later in 8 hours, the person might have very severe pain. The blister is formed with fluid in it. This leaves and forms a deep ulcer in the region.
Some people might even have mild fever and vomiting. It might even kill a person, but this is very uncommon and mostly happens to kids.
What to do?
The first and the foremost thing that needs to be done in case of a spider bite are cleaning with some water and soap. Just apply some pressure on the site bit by the spider. Also various drugs like aspirin can be used to relieve the adults, but it should not be given to children. For kids usually less than 6 years old, a treatment in hospital may be required. This might be the case with adults if there are severe signs and symptoms. Bit by Brown Recluse or Black Widow?
1. Just make identifications. If the area affected by the spider is on the hands or legs, a snug bandage should be knotted over the bite so as to cease or slow down the poison flow. The bandage should be tied loosely for the easy transportation of blood in the arms.
2. A chilled cloth dampened with cold water or filled with ice should be used over the site.
3. Just call a doctor and then he might use anti-venom to make sure that infection is under control.
