According to the ABCNews American sexual health experts are quite concerned about the recent trend – teenagers practice anal sex that was considered to be as something uncommon not so long time ago. Probably just the growth of the anal sex popularity is the best explanation of the recent growth of the sexually transmitted diseases in the USA.

Despite the fact that this sex type relates to the highest risks of being infected of HIV many teenagers are sure that this not “real” intercourse. For instance those teenagers that have studied programs of continence until marriage popularization often practice anal sex with the aim to avoid the “virginity” loss.

Rhode-Island Bradly Harsborough Children Research Center scientists revealed the growth of the anal sex practice among teenagers and young people. Teenagers were polled about sexual and other risky behavior. The answers were given via the computers thus this fact contributed to the increased sense of anonymity and enabled to avoid any confusion throughout the interview. According to the data received there is a trend when young girls and women are induced to anal sex not because of their own will but due to the intention to oblige their partner, avoid pregnancy and preserve hymen. Most of them are not aware about any possible medical consequences of the anal sex. According to Judy Curiansky – the Columbian University professor and the Study of Sexual Education author it is terrific to know that there are too many myths about anal sex among youth. “They even do not suppose that they may get infected as they don’t consider it to be a sexual intercourse. They are able to tell you the ways of HIV transmission, however they do not concern this information with their own behavior.”
