Those pregnant that are lazy becomes fat and silly
Those women avoiding physical activity within pregnancy period harm themselves.
According to the Infox such scornful attitude to doctors’ advices leads to excessive weight gain, pregnancy diabetes appearance and decrease of mental abilities.
North Caroline University in Chapel Hill docent Kelly Evenson and her colleagues used statistical data obtained in 1999 – 2006. 1280 pregnant women older 16 years of age mentioned in their blank forms how often they had any physical activities. The exercises were different according to its difficulty. Some of them only hasten the breath and heartbeat the others – really hard work.
It was revealed that only 23% of pregnant women have enough physical activities to keep their health. Another 23% walks to their work or university though this is the most spread type of physical activities.
54% of housewives awaiting a baby experience moderate activities without leaving their apartments. 57% of women are occupied with something during their free time. Besides most part of the pregnant women are physically active only within the first trimester. At the seventh month virtually all of them have quite passive lifestyle.
At the same time within the accoucheurs and gynaecologists congress in 2002 the American experts concluded that pregnant women have to walk everyday not less half of an hour. In case there are no contraindications (this should be discussed with the doctor). The women awaiting a baby has to spent 150 minutes per day for physical exercises that require moderate physical activity - hastened breath, heartbeat and first sweat appearance.
Evenson states that the physical activity within the pregnancy period is quite useful for the health. It helps to prevent diabetes, maintain normal weight gain and improves mental health.
Let’s just remind earlier it was told that in case pregnant women will eat few fruits and vegetables then they will gain too excessive weight that may be dangerous for the child health.
The research results that was held by the Australian dieticians Shelly Wilkinson and Debby Tolcher revealed that most pregnant women eat half less of the recommended vegetables and fruits quantity. Moreover each third woman gets increased weight gain within the pregnancy period. Unfortunately too few pregnant women are aware of the fact how to eat correctly and maintain healthy weight within the pregnancy period.
The scientists checked the health of 304 women and their children within the pregnancy period and straight after the birth.
According to the researchers future mothers have to eat a lot of vegetables, fruits, wholegrain bread, cereals, and fatless milk and meat products. This will help them to maintain healthy body weight and satisfy the need of such important elements as albumen, iron, iodine and folic acid. So the pregnancy is the best time to start healthy nutrition. As this will bring benefit for two generations at once.
