Abscess
means the accumulation of the pus in the any part of the body. There exist a skin abscess (that is also known as common boil), peritonsillar abscess (that implies a permanent accumulation of the pus behind the tonsils) and perianal abscess (that implies the pool of the pus appearing next to anus).
